MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Joining us this morning is Justin Driver with Forward Church. We wanted to talk about how we can be a light to the world. So what do you do?
Guest: Jesus said this: We are a light of the world, a city on a hill that shouldn’t be hidden. So as believers, I think the first and foremost thing that we can do is not live a secluded life. We’re never meant to live a secluded life. We’re meant to be in community and to testify and witness of the love of God.
Anchor: So what are examples of bringing that light to other people?
Guest: I think it’s so important. Jesus showed us the perfect example, right? But he said if people are in need, ministry is actually meeting needs. That’s what it’s all about. And I think, you know, I’ve always been told people don’t care how much until they know how much you care. So, show people that you care.
Anchor: What are some quick things that we can do? What can we look for?
Guest: To share in the love of God includes meeting them where they’re at, praying for their needs, clothing them, feeding them, showing them that there is something that you’re living for that is beyond this, this selfishness that the world really shows us, to live by Jesus teaches us to be selfless. It’s about putting others first.
