FAIRHOPE, Ala. (WALA) – The Fairhope Police Department made an arrest on Friday for alleged exploitation of an elderly woman who lost over $100,000. Officials said a Fairhope elderly woman had purchased a new vehicle and noticed extra charges for an anti-theft service. According to Fairhope PD, the woman researched the company’s name online and encountered a scam website.
