Burris Farm Market Auctions Contents, Making Way for Wawa

Loxley, AL – Burris Farm Market, a beloved local produce spot for over 40 years, is now preparing for an auction. If you’ve driven down Highway 59 in Loxley, you’ve probably seen this landmark, known for its fresh produce and homemade treats, serving both residents and visitors alike. Earlier this year, Greg Burris made the tough decision to close the market, and now everything inside the 18,000-square-foot building is up for auction.

The auction, which will be both live and online, begins at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15. If you’re interested in seeing what’s available, there’s a walk-through on Monday, Oct. 14, from 1-4 p.m., or you can schedule a preview by appointment.

The property, located at the corner of Highway 59 and County Road 64, will be sold to the Wawa group, which means we’ll see a new convenience store added to Baldwin County soon.

Many longtime residents were saddened to see Burris Farm Market close in February of this year since it has been a staple in the community for many years. What are your feelings on saying goodbye to Burris for good? Are you excited or disappointed to see another gas station in Loxley?
