BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. ( WKRG ) — A woman was arrested after four puppies were left with no food or water and eventually died, according to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office.

38-year-old Ashley Lynn Miller was arrested for the incident that was reported on Oct. 7.
According to BCSO officials, deputies received a call for service about five dogs being abandoned at a home in the Marlow Community.

When BCSO deputies along with Baldwin County Animal Shelter personnel responded, they reportedly found five dogs, four of which were puppies left in a kennel with no food or water. The puppies died due to the condition they were left in, according to a news release.
BCSO deputies were able to find that Miller was the sole owner of the dogs.
She was arrested on Oct. 20 on unrelated charges, but on Oct. 21 she was interviewed and admitted to neglecting the dogs. Miller was charged with four counts of felony animal cruelty.
