Man accused of stealing items from Greer’s, threatening violence: Mobile PD

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A local man is behind bars after he allegedly stole items from a store and threatened violence, according to the Mobile Police Department.

The department identified the man as 51-year-old Terrance Darnel McCants.

Officers said McCants was arrested after they responded to the Greer’s located at 851 Government Street around noon on Oct. 24 for a male suspect stealing items from the store.

INCIDENT LOCATION:

According to a department news release, officers arrived and found that a male suspect, later identified as McCants, stole items before he forcibly shoved an employee and threatened violence while trying to exit.

Jail records show that McCants was taken to Metro Jail and charged with second-degree criminal mischief and first-degree robbery.
