MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Mobile police arrested two Mobile men who allegedly tried to sell a stolen vehicle, according to officials.

The Mobile Police Department said in a news release that Roy Carter, 44, and Lamont Francis, 42, were arrested after officers were notified of a vehicle reported stolen from the Walmart store on Dawes Road on Nov. 13.
INCIDENT LOCATION:
Officers said they found that someone was trying to sell the stolen vehicle later in the day.
“Through the course of the investigation, officers discovered the subject who was attempting to sell the vehicle was located in the 1000 block of Leroy Stevens Road,” the MPD release said.
Carter and Francis were taken to the Mobile Metro Jail without incident, according to police.

They were both charged with first-degree receiving stolen property following the incident. Francis was also charged with the use/possession of drug paraphernalia and second-degree possession of marijuana.
