Mobile man accused of breaking into home, stealing cigarettes: MPD

MOBILE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — Mobile Police Department officers arrested a local man Tuesday morning after he allegedly broke into a home and stole a pack of cigarettes.

According to an MPD news release, officers were called to the 50 block of Le Fevre Street around 7:30 a.m. for a report of a burglary.

When officers arrived, they heard that a man had broken the home’s door and stole cigarettes, according to the release.

Officers said they were able to identify the suspect as 31-year-old Deante Maral Tate and arrest him.

Tate is charged with second-degree burglary, according to jail records.
