MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Federal Bureau of Investigation Director Christopher Wray named Ashley T. Johnson as the special agent in charge of the St. Louis Field Office.

According to a news release from the FBI, Johnson has been with the FBI since 2007 when she was assigned to the New Orleans Division where she investigated civil rights and white-collar crime violations as a special agent.
Most recently, Johnson was the section chief of the FBI Headquarters’ International Operations Division in Washington, D.C., according to the FBI.
With the FBI, Johnson has also worked in the Cyber Division, Atlanta Division and the Human Resources Division.

Johnson is a native of Mobile and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice at the University of South Alabama. She also earned a master’s degree in sociology at South and attended the University of Alabama for her master’s degree of social work in public policy and social welfare.
