Vehicles flooded in Tillman’s Corner as Halls Mill Creek overflows

MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — Flooding from Friday’s heavy rain is being felt around Mobile County. Saturday morning, several vehicles were flooded in a parking lot near Halls Mill Creek in Tillman’s Corner. The overflowing creek brought water up to the top of wheel wells. Four Mobile County Sheriff’s Office vehicles were among those that were flooded.

The owner of a nearby business said the flooded vehicles already had blown engines. The vehicles were going to be torn down for scrap anyway and that’s why they were parked in a low lying area of the parking lot.  The water tripped the emergency lights on at least one sheriff’s office vehicle.
