MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) – A man has died after a crash that happened on Airport Boulevard Saturday afternoon, according to the Mobile Police Department.

According to MPD officials, the crash is on eastbound Airport Boulevard near Azalea Road.
Both the driver and the passenger were men and the passenger has died, according to police. The driver was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Police said they believe the driver was driving at a high rate of speed when the vehicle crashed into a tree.
Mobile police are asking drivers to avoid the area if possible.
