MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Semmes police have released a statement regarding their investigation into a late Friday night shooting. “At 11:15 last night, officers were dispatched to a residence on Sycamore Way for one shot. When the officers arrived, the victim, 22 year old Tykendrick M. Barnett had already been taken to the hospital. Detectives went to the hospital to check on the victim and discovered that his wound was not life threatening. The victim sustained a gunshot wound to his upper back.
