MOBILE, Ala ( WKRG ) – Mobile Police have arrested a man suspected of arson following a call of a residential house fire at Belsaw Avenue on Saturday morning, according to an MPD spokesperson.
The Mobile Fire-Rescue Department received a call about a residential fire around Belsaw Avenue and Pecan Street around 11:42 a.m. on Saturday, January 4, according to a MFRD report .
MFRD discovered the fire was visible at the front and side of the house.
They were able to extinguish the fire and perform a search inside. There were no reported injuries with any of the fire-rescue members.
All residents had evacuated the home before MFRD arrived. The residents were treated at the scene.
A man was seen fleeing but was detained by Mobile Police.
31-year-old Ralph Hall Jr. was questioned and charged with first-degree arson. He remains in Mobile Metro Jail.
Hall’s bond hearing is set for Monday at 8:30 a.m.
MFRD is investigating the case.
