Mobile man arrested after woman is shot during argument: MPD

MOBILE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — Mobile Police Department officers have arrested a man after a woman was shot during an argument, News 5 has learned.

According to an MPD news release, officers were called to the 8000 block of Jeff Hamilton Road around 12:30 p.m. Friday for a report of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found the woman with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, and she was taken to a hospital for treatment, according to the release.

During the investigation, officers said they found that a man, now identified as 22-year-old Travis De’Anthony James Mitchell, had shot the woman during an argument.
