FIRST ALERT: Multiple rounds of storms will move through over the next 48 hours

MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) –

Our Tuesday morning has started out with cloudy skies and more mild temperatures. Cloudy skies will be in store for the remainder of the morning, heading into the afternoon is when showers will start. Isolated showers will start around lunchtime, and then heading towards 2 and 3 p.m. this afternoon is when showers will start to become more intense and widespread. These thunderstorms will bring heavy rainfall and strong wind gust with them, and there is now the potential for severe weather as well. This morning, the Storm Prediction Center put portions of eastern Mississippi and western Alabama under a level one marginal risk for severe weather on Tuesday. While this is the lowest risk level, it is something your First Alert Weather Team is watching.
