The Storm Prediction Center has placed all of central Alabama under a Slight Risk for severe thunderstorms late Saturday night into Sunday afternoon. In addition, most of Alabama is under a severe weather risk.

James Spann, ABC 33/40 and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist, said, “Storms that pass through Alabama will be capable of producing strong winds and hail; a brief tornado or two is possible.” Rain amounts of 1-2 inches are expected.”
Updated Timing
An organized batch of showers and storms will enter Northwest Alabama around midnight Saturday night and exit the southeast corner of the state Sunday afternoon,” said Spann.
