Families continue to recover weeks after Styx River flooding

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. ( WKRG ) — Families around the Styx River in Baldwin County are still reeling three weeks after flooding swept through . The swelling river left some families with nothing but a big mess to clean up.

From a pile of junk in the backyard, to a home they can’t even live in, Stephanie Mack and her family have had a rough few weeks .

“We’re taking it one day at a time. I was overwhelmed at first,” Stephanie Mack said. “I tried not to cry. I did. About three days later, it took everything. It took my son’s home, which is it was just like a little shed type thing. But he’s 20. It was all he had.”…
