Stormy pattern ahead with flooding risk

MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) — The start of the workweek brought picture perfect weather along our stretch of the Gulf Coast! Unfortunately, changes are coming quickly.

Tuesday starts mostly quiet under a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures near 60. As the day goes on we’ll add more clouds along with a chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms. From late morning through the afternoon, there will be roughly a 1 in 3 chance that a shower or storm finds you. Highs will mainly range in the upper 70s and low 80s and it will be breezy with winds out of the east.

As we go from Tuesday night into Wednesday, things will really begin to ramp up as the first of several waves of moisture gets set to move in. Through 7AM on Wednesday the western half of our area is in a level 2/4 slight risk of excessive rainfall that could lead to flash flooding while the eastern half is under a level 1 marginal risk…
