MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) – Joining us this morning is Ricky Watt with Bay Family Church in Grand Bay. Good morning to you, sir. Good morning, Chad. Thanks for having me. All right. We wanted to talk about, you know, in the time that we’ve last talked to you about a year ago, how does a pastor adjust to being a new pastor with an existing congregation because you’re in a new place compared to where you were a year ago?
Watt: That’s right. Yeah. It was a very unique situation for us and that I went to college with Alan Floyd. We graduated with one another from Cottage Hill Baptist, and he contacted me about coming and talking to him about a new opportunity at a minister, at a new church down in Grand Bay.
And Cottage Hill has a ministry called The Hill Collective, where they try to help churches who are struggling. We call it revitalization and bring new life, bring a new dream to a church that struggling because the reality is there’s about 7000 churches that are closing their doors every year right now…
