MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) — On Wednesday, the Mobile County Commission, along with its community partners, broke ground on Lewis Landing.
It is a nearly two-acre pocket park located north of downtown Mobile on Conception Street Road. The park will provide Mobile County residents with water access. Construction is expected to take six months.
“It has always been a destination you can drive through here, and you will find people standing on the bridge fishing. That is not an unusual site, but now they have a safe place to be with some protection and amenities. It is just going to up it, because it is already used in its current state.
