MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – All of this mess in the lake at Langan Park will soon be a thing of the past with much anticipated dredging project set to begin.
“It feels real good and the desire has always been there but without money, without the funding and without the collaboration of multiple partners something like this never happens,” said Mayor Sandy Stimpson.
Mayor Sandy Stimpson says this project has been needed for around three decades, but funding has been an issue ever since Hurricane Katrina. Now with federal money from the Restore Act, work can finally get underway and hopefully breathe new life into the park…
