JACKSON COUNTY – A woman died after falling over the weekend in the Devil’s Standtable Trail area of Giant City State Park.
According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, first responders found 31-year-old Carlos Riddle of Daphne, Alabama, and 37-year-old Ashley Stempien of Mt. Vernon, Alabama, near the base of the cliff along the trail just after 11 Sunday morning. Reports incident they were sight seeing at the top of the cliff when Stempien slipped and fell 55 feet to the ground…
