Bond revoked for former Bayou La Batre police officer

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A judge revoked bond today for a former Bayou La Batre police officer charged with rape and sex abuse.

BJ Squires was arrested Monday while out on bond. The terms of his bond required Squires to “not depart from State,” but the Mobile County District Attorney’s office received information that Squires had attended a baseball game on June 5 in Biloxi, Mississippi.

The DA’s office immediately filed a motion to revoke Squires’ bond and signed a warrant for his arrest.

Mobile County Sheriff’s deputies found Squires on Monday and arrested him, along with two other individuals, on Dauphin Island Parkway.

Squires was arrested in November following an investigation by the sheriff’s office and the DA’s office.
