MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – The wait is almost over for some of Mobile’s greatest sports legends to be honored in a huge way.
The finishing touches were being done on Mobile’s new Hall of Fame Walk in front of the Mobile Convention Center on the downtown waterfront.
Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson said, “When I look at these statues, I think of these men when they were children they probably had this dream and that dream was to either play pro baseball or pro football and so here we are being able to memorialize what they did.”…
