MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A new hotel is planned for the Spring Hill area of Mobile and would replace the former Fort Hardeman National Guard armory.

If Mobile City Council approves the proposal, the hotel would be a first in that neighborhood of Spring Hill near West Mobile.
The former Fort Hardeman National Guard Armory, located across from the Springhill Fire Station, has been a fixture in the community since the 1960s.
