Elderly woman hit by car while walking to fire station to get help for son suffering from medical emergency

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Mobile Fire-Rescue says an elderly woman seeking help for her son facing a medical emergency quickly found herself in need of her own help.

According to MFRD, a woman who lives across the street from the Toulminville Fire Station on Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue was cross the road when she was hit by a vehicle Tuesday morning.

Officials say the woman, who is around 80 years old, was headed to the fire station to get help for her son who was suffering from a medical emergency.
