Mobile police arrest suspect in deadly shooting

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — An arrest has been made in the May 20 Woodland Avenue homicide case.

According to a Mobile Police Department news release, 19-year-old King Williams of Chickasaw was arrested and charged with first-degree robbery and murder.

On May 20, at about 7:51 p.m., officers were called to the 1200 block of Woodland Avenue in response to a crash. When officers arrived, they found an SUV flipped near Metals USA, the release said.

The driver, 72-year-old Cedric Tinsley, died at the scene, according to police. During the crash investigation, however, officials found the driver had been shot.
