110 Pounds of Cocaine Found Washed Up on Fort Morgan Peninsula

Baldwin County, Ala. (WDNews) – A major drug discovery is under investigation after a large bundle of cocaine washed ashore on the Fort Morgan Peninsula.

The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office reported that about 110 pounds of cocaine were found Thursday, packed into 50 individually wrapped kilos. The bundle was secured and taken to the Sheriff’s Investigations Command for further analysis.

Homeland Security Investigations has been notified and is assisting with the ongoing investigation.

Sheriff Anthony Lowery is asking the public to stay alert and report any additional suspicious packages, noting that it’s not unusual for more bundles to appear in these types of cases…
