Doc’s Seafood Shack Nears Opening in Foley

Downtown Foley may soon allow open container zones

Foley, Ala. — (OBA) — A second Doc’s Seafood Shack and third restaurant in the Doc’s group, is closer to opening in Foley. The new restaurant is nearing completion in the southeast corner of the intersection of the South Juniper Street extension and County Road 20. At an upcoming council meeting, the owners of the restaurant are seeking a liquor license for the new eatery. It is part of several new businesses or multi-family complexes to be built along the South Juniper Street extension.

The Foley city council will meet in a joint regular/work session at 4 p.m. on July 7 in council chambers at city hall. Two package stores also have requests on the agenda for liquor licenses including Sai Murti in the new Publix shopping center in the southwest corner of the intersection of County Road 20 and the Foley Beach Express and Goodfellas Fin Cigars located at 1013 N.
