Swimmer in Mobile Bay not in distress, officials say

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A man found swimming in Mobile Bay Monday morning was found not to be in distress, according to the Mobile Fire-Rescue Department.

According to an MFRD news release, first responders were called to the area of I-10 between the Mobile Police Department’s jurisdiction and the Wallace Tunnel for a report of a man in the water.

Once first responders arrived, they made contact with the man and found he was not in distress and did not need medical attention, according to the release.
