3 men arrested after leading Mobile police on chase

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A man and his passengers were arrested Saturday after reportedly leading Mobile police on a chase.

According to a Mobile Police Department news release, at about 2:55 p.m. on Saturday, July 5, officers tried to stop a car for a traffic violation in the 5200 block of Rangeline Road.

The driver refused to stop, and led police on a chase that ended in the 2700 block of Schillinger Road. The driver got out of the car and ran, the release said.

Samuel Nelson, 23, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and attempting to elude. Additionally, two passengers, Conner Holifield and Ryan Hammac, were arrested.
