MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A Yemen man Monday announced his intention to plead guilty to a charge related to a human smuggling network that federal prosecutors say involved an Alabama gas station owner.
Haidar Abo Ayedh Almuntaser is one off four people named in the indictment. He stands accused of sneaking into the United States with the help of two men who ran a gas station in the Selma area. In paperwork filed in Mobile’s federal court, he indicated that he will plead guilty pursuant to a plea agreement to a charge of conspiracy to commit international money laundering.
