Mobile received 1,000 pothole complaints so far this year

MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) — Mobile is working to fix frustrating, tire-popping potholes in the city. One we featured last week on Knollwood Dr. gave drivers real headaches. Melissa Mills says it immediately popped her front tire, and she says there were other drivers dealing with flat tires from the same pothole.

“So, there was like four of us within a very short amount of time. They all had to pull over because we had blown tires from this pothole. So, it’s significant,” said Mills.

By Tuesday, the city repaired that pothole, and crews were out addressing another troublesome spot off Airport Boulevard. The city says recent equipment malfunctions kept asphalt trucks off the roads for days, and crews are trying to get caught up on a back log of complaints…
