MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) — A new hotel could soon be coming to downtown Mobile. A developer is looking to get the proposed site rezoned by the city’s planning commission next month.
Right now, the property on St. Francis Street is a paid parking lot and its current zoning allows for a small hotel. However, according to the rezoning request application, the developer’s plan for a 141-room hotel would exceed the room count that is allowed.
