MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) — According to Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson, it was announced that the new Downtown Mobile International Airport construction is back on budget.
Stimpson told Mobile City Council members that MAA Director Andy Wilson, during a Mobile Airport Authority meeting Tuesday morning, that the new opening date for the Airport is September 2026.
“It was a lot of hard work to go from what was the projected cost was based on some of the projections, to get it back on budget, so kudos to them”, Stimpson told councilors…
