Last night, tragedy struck on Florida’s Turnpike when a car collided with a semi-truck, resulting in a fatality and serious injury. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident occurred near Clermont, south of Hancock Road, when a man from Alabama, driving a 2025 Hyundai Elantra, failed to slow down and rear-ended a semi.
According to ClickOrlando, the crash took place at around 10:15 p.m., with the Turnpike being the setting for yet another grave vehicle crash. The 22-year-old driver, whose identity has not been released, was declared dead at the scene. A 23-year-old woman, also from Mobile, Alabama, was transported with serious injuries to Orlando Regional Medical Center. She was the passenger in the car and, like the driver, was reportedly not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision…
