MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — The City of Mobile’s Office of Public Safety has released its 2025 Severe Weather Preparedness Guide, providing information on shelters and evacuation zones.

The guide lists information on mass care shelters, medical shelters, safer places, as well as heating and cooling shelters.
Mass care shelters are long-term and open for over 12 hours, whereas medical needs shelters are a “last-resort” for people with medical needs who can’t find any mass care shelters, according to the guide.
