Pickleball tournament held to benefit Eastern Shore Art Center

DAPHNE, Ala. (WALA) – Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in popularity in the country and on Saturday, July 26, a tournament helped benefit a special arts center in our area.

It took place at Lott Park in Daphne. The tournament was held to benefit the Eastern Shore Art Center in Fairhope.

“It’s a beautiful blend of the museum, a gallery and an art school. All of those components are very important, including outreach into other communities and bringing art to them,” said Thomas Myers with the Eastern Shore Art Center. “We teach classes at the Eastern Shore. They are almost always full. We always have at least three galleries with good art local art regional art and on occasion national art.”…
