Dollar General robbery leads to Mobile woman’s arrest

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A Mobile woman was arrested after she allegedly tried to take items from a store without paying for them, and then pulled a gun on an employee who tried to stop her.

According to a Mobile Police Department news release, officers were called to the Dollar General at 3266 Dauphin Street around midnight Tuesday for a report of a robbery.

When officers arrived, they were told a woman had been seen putting items in a cart and trying to push them out without paying for them.

When an employee tried to get the items back, the woman threatened to shoot employees with a gun she had hidden in her purse, the release said…
