Mobile woman evacuates during Hawaiian Tsunami Warning

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A Mobile woman who currently lives in Kahului, Hawaii, had to evacuate Tuesday afternoon after the statewide Tsunami Warning went into effect.

Raven Wright was just 30 minutes away from her house when the alert was issued around 2 p.m. At first, Wright said she “wasn’t really worried about it.”

The watch quickly turned into a warning about an hour later. Wright said that everyone got on the road to evacuate.

“Everyone was definitely in a panic,” Wright said. “I was trying to book it home and pack a bag. My usual 30-minute drive took over two hours,” she continued…
