According to an MPD news release, a white cargo utility trailer was reported stolen from a job site near the intersection of Highway 90 and Nevius Road in April.

The police department then received a tip on where the trailer was and executed a search warrant today, locating the trailer and additional stolen property inside, the release said.

“The stolen property includes power towels, a blower, speakers, a generator and other miscellaneous items of value,” the release said.

Those items came from reported thefts in precincts 2, 3, and 4, closing 5 cases with one operation, according to the release. In total, the items recovered amount to roughly $60,000.

Cornelius Baker, 26, of Eight Mile, was arrested and charged with first-degree receiving stolen property. Additional arrests could be made as the investigation continues, the release said.
