Fairhope family turns hardship into hope for Texas students after devastating floods

FAIRHOPE, Ala. (WKRG) — The new school year is right around the corner, but after devastating floods tore through parts of central Texas earlier this summer, many families are still recovering, and one local family is stepping up to help.

Daphne blood drive scheduled to ‘diversify donor pool’

Scissors, erasers, pencils and crayons are only a few items on every child’s back-to-school shopping list.

Paul and Mandylynn Sitler are packing up these supplies, not for their own kids, but for students hundreds of miles away in Texas.

“With going back to school so close to the tragedy happening, we wanted to do something that would bless the children, to take their minds off of what has happened,” Paul Sitler said…
