Sunday FUNday to see morning sunshine with few afternoon storms

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – It’s been a great kick off weekend for the month of August thus far and Sunday is looking to keep the trend going.

Saturday night will get down into the upper 70s then morning sunshine leads to temperatures in the low 90s so nothing getting in the way of your Sunday brunch or heading off to church.

The 90s will feel pretty nice with the dip in humidity too — and it’s very well deserved after the heat we’ve endured over the last few weeks.

And this period of lower humidity will stick with us through much of the new week!

Looking like the next few days to have a Heat Index value in the triple digits won’t be until at least Wednesday of this coming week.
