Arson arrest made in connection to recent Mobile fires

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Officials with Mobile Fire-Rescue say an arrest has been made in connection to recent fires at vacant homes. According to a news release, 31-year-old Justin Jones was booked into Metro Jail Sunday morning and charged with 2nd degree arson.

Mobile Police arrested Jones after a vacant home on State Street was destroyed by fire. The news release says he was caught trying to set fire to another vacant home on Old Shell Road. The news release adds “Jones is the primary suspect in multiple fires which have occurred recently, and more charges are likely pending further investigation.”…
