USA Health Providence Hospital gets a new inpatient hospice unit

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — On Aug. 5, USA Health Providence Hospital announced the opening of its new in-hospital hospice unit, according to a press release.

The announcement was accompanied by a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house held on the hospital’s 11th floor.

The release said the new unit is operated in partnership with Saad Healthcare.

“We are incredibly proud to open our first in-hospital unit and are honored to partner with USA Health Providence Hospital,” Vice President of Hospice at Saad Healthcare Phillip Fulgham said. “This collaboration is a powerful testament to two organizations coming together to ensure that our community has access to the highest quality, most compassionate hospice care available.”
