Mobile teen finishes makeover for Victim Comfort Room

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A local teen has finished a much-needed makeover for the Mobile District Attorney’s Victim Comfort Room.

Caroline Giardina took on the project for her Girl Scout Gold Project a few months ago and finally finished the room on Monday.

The transformation will better aid families who are about to testify in court. Giardina says that a few families have already used the room.

“Only a handful of families have used it in the last week, but all the families and employees that work in the office have loved it and said it feels so comfortable and safe,” she said.

Giardina said the initial room was outdated and dull, so she wanted to brighten up the space and make it more inviting.
