New members of Mobile Fire Rescue and the Alabama National Guard took a break from their day-to-day jobs when they got on the court.
“It’s a good opportunity for the guys to build relationships and, you know, blow off a little bit of that steam, that stress that they have,” MFRD Training Chief Mac Weaver said.
The National Guard scored the first point with a free throw, but the MFRD was on fire throughout the rest of the game. The firefighters lit up the court, ending the game with a 50 to 35 win.
