Kansas City murder suspect arrested in Mobile

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A murder suspect wanted in Kansas City was arrested Wednesday in Mobile.

According to Mobile County Sheriff’s Office records, 37-year-old Ray Von McCall was arrested on a fugitive from justice warrant. McCall listed his address as Kansas City.

McCall was wanted by North Kansas City police on charges of second-degree murder, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon, according to police documents.

According to those documents, just before 3 p.m. on Aug. 11, North Kansas City officers responded to an accident with injuries. When they arrived, however, they discovered the driver had suffered a gunshot wound.

Dispatchers confirmed they had received reports of a shooting shortly before the accident. The victim was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, the documents said…
