MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – The Mobile City Council has an item about the new Mobile River Bridge and Bayway Project on its agenda this week.
A resolution is set to be introduced that authorizes the issuance of what’s called a Municipal Sales and Use Tax Exemption Certificate for the project.
A spokesperson for the Mayor’s Office says a state law related to projects like the bridge requires cities charging sales and use taxes on materials used for the project to exempt the concessionaire and/or contractors from those taxes…
