Council approves larger facilities, pavilion replacement, and new ballfield fencing
Foley, Ala. — (OBA) — Foley officials are moving forward with new plans to improve Aaronville Park in the city’s southwest area. The Foley City Council approved an updated project in a meeting earlier this month, that will expand earlier upgrade plans. The work will include a larger restroom building, a new pavilion, and additional fencing on one of the park’s ballfields. The improvements are aimed at making the park more accessible and enjoyable for residents.
The city had originally approved an upgrade plan in 2023 but decided to make changes before work began. Park officials said the decision came after re-evaluating community needs. Instead of sticking with the original design, the city will now install a larger, prefabricated restroom building with facilities that comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
