MCSO: Driver tosses loaded Glock during pursuit, ends in crash with civilian car

MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) — UPDATE:

According to MCSO, on August 18th, 2025, the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on a Silver 2021 Toyota Camry bearing Alabama tag 2A0T9NE, in the area of Halls Mill Rd. and Highway 90, for a violation of illegal tint and running a red light. The driver failed to yield to the deputy’s emergency lights and sirens, and a pursuit was initiated. The pursuit proceeded in a Southeast direction on Range Line Rd. towards Hamilton Road.

The suspect’s vehicle continued on Hamilton Road and then headed to Dauphin Island Parkway, where it turned north. As the vehicle crossed over the Dog River Bridge, Deputies observed the driver throw a tan colored handgun (later discovered to be a Glock 19 9mm with an extended mag) out of the driver’s window…
